"Forever"

Have you ever imagined what forever would be like? Especially when someone tells you that they’d be there for you forever? Whether it’s your significant other or a friend, we all know that nothing lasts forever. But in some cases, certain things or relationships have proven that “forever” is possible.

The word “forever” sounds so promising, makes us feel wanted, protected and loved. But in reality, it takes a lot to prove that “forever’ exists and if it can’t be proven, then “forever” isn’t real. It’s just a fantasy, where we dream about the things that we want to happen to us or it’s for us to fantasize about being with someone that we like. 

It is unexplainable when a person can just look you in the eyes and tell you things like “we’ll be friends forever.” A good example is, a guy can look at a girl and tell her that he loves her forever. But later, to only find that he loves another after things turn sour with that girl. 

There are a lot of people out there who still believe the word “forever.” And it’s funny to think that we all know that nothing lasts forever but then we still believe that “forever” exists. Maybe… just maybe, “forever” is more like a piece of hope that others give us or vice versa. Because hope doesn’t give us an actual “yes” or “no” answer. 

Instead, it leaves us with a hopeful feeling. Hoping that we could all live happily ever after. Hoping that things will be better. So, maybe “forever” gives us that hopeful feeling.

Have you ever wondered? About what, you may ask? About the language we speak? Isn't it strange that everyone around the world, ourselves included, simply put our trust into the people who taught us the language that we speak, write and even think in? When we were growing up, we blindly believed the information that others may have told us. And when we questioned them, some valid reasons were provided but most often, we were told that we'd understand when we grew older. But, for some unknown reasons, I still question many things in life, simpler ones such as colors, for instance. Why is blue called blue? And green called green? Why is anything named and called the way it is? Thus, in my opinion, our culture has shaped humankind into what we are now. I'm never going back to physical class!

 I'm never going back to physical class! Wow, time really flies and here I am, in the first week of the final academic semester of my degree life, before heading for an internship from January to April 2022. Meaning, I will not have the opportunity to have physical class. Let me share my experience after 1 week of an online class in my final academic semester. I’ve categorized my thoughts and feelings into happy things and my obstacles. In fact, these are the pointers that I’ve shared with my online counselor during our counseling session. Happy things that happened in week 1 1. All 10 am class Well, I have been suffering from insomnia. Hence, 10 am classes from Monday to Friday sound like a great deal to me. In short, I am thankful for this timetable arrangement because I will not need to force myself up for 8 am or 9 am classes. 2.
