The Time when Cardi B Begs Selena Gomez Not to Retire
If you haven’t heard the recent news, Selena Gomez hinted that she wants to retire from making
music.
Selena said “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had
moments where I’ve been like ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I
felt was the best song I’ve ever released and for some people that still wasn’t enough.”
She made these statements in the April issue of Vogue. Despite having so many career successes she
still thinks that there are still people that don’t take her seriously. Selena says that she wants to
work more on acting and producing instead.
Selena does however still feel that there are still many people who love her music which she’s so
thankful for. Selena says that she wants to give music one last try and only has one more album in
her before she retires from making music. So, her 4th album might just be her last album.
Surprisingly out of nowhere Cardi B is urging Selena to not retire and even showing her some
support.
She tweeted, “I Don’t think Selena should retire. She makes good music & her fans love her. I think she needs one more Era. An edgy one that no one has ever seen her as. I would love to give her some ideas.”
If she wants to leave, leave cause you want too not cause of these f***ers, Cardi said another
tweet.
Cardi finished off with “A bad b***h era is needed tho “A b***h I’m a nice sweet girl but I’m a rich
b***h too”
Shortly after Cardi came to the support of Selena, fans quickly flooded the comments with
suggestions and support as well. Who would have thought that Cardi B was a Selena fan? It was such
a pleasant surprise.
I don’t know about you but I am on Cardi’s side on this one. I certainly hope Selena won’t retire so
early and hope to see ‘an edgy bad girl’ Selena album. Maybe Cardi and Selena can even have a
collaboration together. As of now, Selena has not responded to these tweets yet.
